Jerry Falwell says it is HERESY to defend the King James Bible
Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. Luke 6:26
This world is full of compromising sellouts who care more for the praise of men than the praise of God. These people won't stand on nothing. A dear reader who respected Jerry Falwell recently sent me some e-mail along with Falwell's responses to her.
E-MAIL FROM OUR READERDear Sis Tracy,
I am forwarding 2 responses to separate letters I sent to Jerry Falwell regarding a comment he made on a recent T.V. show.
He said to the people gathered as he opened his Bible that although he was reading from the KJV, they should follow along "as best they could with whatever version they had available", and added that he was not professing to be a KJV "cult". I was very troubled by this statement. This is not verbatim, but is very close to the original statment.
I sent a letter to him explaining how I had been deceived by the NIV as a new Christian, and even quoted the fallacies I had learned and where to find them.

From: TallOaksVA@aol.comS-----, it is obvious that someone has led you into false doctrine and a total misunderstanding of the Deity of Christ and other cardinal truths. I would urge you to get a mentor who can teach you the Bible and help you away from the heresy you now endorse. My prayers are with you. Jerry Falwell
Mmmm. Let's see...here Falwell resorts to the tactic that many of the other compromising, tolerant, unity-at-all-costs, ecumenical, non-separated folks do. The lady sent him specific verses and he retorts by calling her a heretick without qualification. What a sellout. Next....
OUR READER:Dear Sis Tracy,
Here is part 2 of the response, and interestingly enough, he again does not acknowledge the original heresy I spoke of in the NIV, only Bibles prior to 1611 or in other languages. [Editor's note: that's 'cause Falwell is afraid to take a stand.] I wish I'd had the foresight to save the letters I sent to him, so you could see more clearly.
The point here to me is how blatantly he is denying the context of my letter, by completely not seeing the whole point from sqaure one!!! I am so disappointed, I really thought he cared about our Lord's word. The first scripture to come to my mind after this experience is Matt.7:21-23...a man of this magnitude, using this elusive technique with me, makes me leary.

From: TallOaksVA@aol.comS-----, I did misunderstand you. I agree...The KJV is the best of the versions, in my opinion. But, I am unwilling to say that all Bibles prior to 1611... or all Bibles in other than the English language... are inferior. God bless.
Jerry FalwellDidn't nobody ask him about Bibles before 1611 and didn't nobody ask him about foreign language Bibles. The question was about modern ENGLISH corruptions. He is so scared of what people will think of him that he WON'T think straight. He purposely side-steps the issue. Anybody who is looking for the truth, cannot help but see that there ain't no comparison between the King James Bible and the modern corruptions. Mr. Jerry "Sellout" Falwell, instead of evading the issue, you need to take a good look at the facts and stop worrying about what your followers (or should I say customers?) will think or say. Sellout.
